In 2022 the state of Massachusetts received 3.2 BILLION research dollars and the great state of Louisiana received 324 Million

This is the difference in your “welfare states” and others. It’s how the FEDS want it. They pay Massachusetts a different welfare than us. It’s all in how the feds distribute it. Some get jobs, others get welfare.

Inequity is why they bust all those windows.

Young scholars just looking for equity.

Fix the inequity and voila, busting windows stops.

Our people in “poverty” are fat and have iphones and hdtvs

I had rental properties for several years and there were occasions when a renter wasn't about to come up with the rent but they could afford a cell phone, HBO was always playing on the big screen TV and the garbage can was full of empty beer cans.

Priorities, priorities, priorities.

Baton Rouge is not on the list because they and their cronies take a larger proportion of tax dollars NOLA and Shreveport generate

Where did you get this from? For decades, Baton Rouge's DPW has picked up the tab on road widening projects that the state's DOTD was supposed to be paying for.

$25,000 is 123% of the global salary average, which is the poverty level for 1 person in the US. So you're making more than 55% of the rest of the world. Not sure if that means anything.

Dem run cities? They only know how to curtail freedoms, make cities unsafe, and turn them into shitholes.

You made my point. If LSU and Tulane received billions then those students would research here and MIT and Harvard would need NIL money to compete for 5 stars.

Nearly 37 million Americans live in poverty, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The National Alliance to End Homelessness estimated more than half a million people had experienced living in homeless shelters or on the streets in 2021.

You are never going to end this because these people have chosen the easy way out. Life with no responsibilities.

Know what a hard life is? Going to work everyday. Being a responsible adult.

Such a dumb statement. Most people are born in poverty and have trouble getting out.

so you are saying abortion isn’t working then?

40% of single black mothers live in poverty. 8% of married black couples live in poverty.

And when we are doing these statistics. Does it include every cent these people get in handouts too? Or just their earned income?

Oh that’s right just income. Non cash assistance like housing isn’t included in calculating if you are in poverty.

Is it because it’s more bullshite?

You're saying poor folks have kids they can't afford or support? Sounds racist.

Sounds like LSU and Tulane need better grant writers and research programs.
