Good point - the money is better spent on more handouts to the petrochem industry, to subsidize moving the remaining office jobs to Houston and to ensure that the refineries don't hop up and move out of state.

We should work on that.

Free markets allow the most freedom and mobility of any system known.

What actual free market has existed in practice?

Vote libertarian then, because the two party system will never allow that.

I generally do.

Though it's hopeless. People are entrenched in their nanny state ideologies.

You seem quite open to new ideas

The united states economy isn't really a free market

When FEDGOV prints money and manipulates the market, you are correct. Private business, however, does operate in the free market realm, at least for small business. Again, fedgov gets involved and picks winners and losers continues to frick up our economy.

We've had a minimum wage for nearly 100 years, are you proposing that it caused this inflationary period?

Listen you simple goon, minimum wage isn't the only wage mandate. The current supply crisis is due to Covid and Biden bucks. You keep ignoring the biden bucks and its very obvious. But guaranteeing a stay at home salary disincentivizes work, which creates a labor shortage (currently happening), and arbitrarily giving anyone a pulse $300-400/week in Biden bucks also tallies into that inflation. It's artificial money being thrown into the economy. I know you lack any economic understanding, but what do you think that does to the value of money? COGS?

I agree, but it is for you

Again with the, "i know you are but what am i" responses. Get better comebacks, lame-O.

Not really

Partly

Im not at all, like I've repeated dozens of times, it's part of the problem, but it's certainly not the only one.

And in my opinion, it's not close to the largest.

People like you are totally ignoring factors where as I'm weighting the ONLY factor you'll consider at a smaller percentage.

Supply/demand model. Our system of trade is based on the free market system, but regulated by Fedgov. Remove fedgov, and you'd get exponential economic growth. So we have a restrained free market system, that becomes more restrained and bastardized with big government bureaucrats, especially, but not exclusively, liberal Democrats. You throw in leftists, like what is currently in office, and you get socialism/communism.

She's a total dumb-arse who loves baby killing. Responsibility is a foreign word to her.

This is shocking (in a good way) that Louisiana may end this early because there is no good reason for it now anyway.

Yeah she is stupid. She kept asking questions on several bills that had already passed and were being heard for concurrence. She kept asking questions about the bills. And the acting speaker, I think Tanner Magee kept telling her to limit questions to Senate amendments. Finally she rose to speak, and the speaker told her if the question was about the bill she would be barred from speaking while he was acting speaker.

In theory, and I'd tend to agree with you but there's tons of theories that don't work in practice

I agree except I'd argue Republicans are just as bad. Maybe worse because they lie about it. Democrats are at least open that they're team big government

You are so full of shite. I know of restaurant owners who were paying well above the average, even the dishwaher was making $12/hour, and they still couldn't show up on time or even at all. You think the low-grade pieces crap that have zero work ethic deserve more pay or that more pay will suddenly make them better employees? You are laughably ignorant and naive.

Well, you get to the "unfettered" part, that's when things go to shite, which necessitates SOME government involvement to police bad actors. But, considering FEDGOV is the primary bad actor nowadays, we'd be better off policing ourselves economically.

That's why i said, not exclusively.

That's why i support primary-ing all RINO, big government Republicans. They have done more damage to the party, than Democrats. However, given the choice of only Republican vs. Democrat, 999 out of 1000 times.
