Yeah, it is kind of difficult for him to understand. He's a regular idiot. So many people do not understand the basics of economics (supply and demand). He is one of them.

Technology

Or do you want to go with the money printing Trump did?

I'm going to assume you're being sarcastic because I don't want to believe someone is more moronic than the other guy who said it's because companies aren't paying enough.

The united states economy isn't really a free market

We've had a minimum wage for nearly 100 years, are you proposing that it caused this inflationary period?

I agree, but it is for you

An unskilled person with a car can make $30/hr in the gig economy, why would they take a crappy $10/hr job??

So why aren't they taking their car and doing that? Uber and Lyft are also short workers.

quote:

Uber and Lyft are facing a supply shortage, as returning and newly vaccinated customers again flood the apps, only to find out there aren’t enough drivers to serve them. It’s resulting in longer wait times and higher fares for riders. The companies cited drivers’ ongoing hesitance regarding fears of contracting the coronavirus and lingering concerns that demand has dried up, even as customers in many major cities have resumed riding. Uber and Lyft are offering incentives and paying out what they say are record wages as they attempt to lure drivers back to the apps.

You do realize we don't really live in a free market right. That's what the libertarians are championing for, an actual free market without regulations.

Printing and injecting many trillions of dollars into the economy caused it.

And reduced supply, which is not all caused by an American labor shortage, and pent up demand had nothing to do with it?

You're also forgetting the major hit to the actual transportation of goods going on right now. Mostly due to china having issues shipping goods directly to us.

Sure we do. Corporations are free to buy politicians to strangle any of their competition once they get big enough.

China is having issues, but they're also engaged in political warfare holding back production of goods that puts strain on the US and other economies.

Why "conservatives" want to conveniently not acknowledge that part to put 100% of the blame on Biden is odd considering their supposed stance on China.

Anyone purposes this is a simple issue is a fricking moron
