Even without J&J, Louisiana expects nearly 100,000 vaccine doses next week, which is (I think) the biggest to date. With J&J, that'd be closed to 135,000 doses, by far the largest allocation to date #lalege #lagov

Does this mean that those of us who have received both doses of the vaccine can stop wearing masks and stop farting to cover our coughs and sneezes now?

They'll announce a new phase but nothing will change.

ETA: And Destroya will still keep New Orleans in strict lock downs so watching Zion's greatness in person is pretty much out of the question.

I'd like to give whoever this is the benefit of the doubt and say they meant 700. But the comma in there makes it look like they intentionally put out an overstated number.

State is currently in a ‘modified phase 2’

So what was the point of this press conference?

Just to tell us that they "might" make some changes next week?

Kanter tells people not to wait when the J&J vaccine becomes available: “It’s a very good vaccine. One shot is great. Don’t pass up the opportunity. … don’t fall into the trap of trying to parse one versus the other.” #lalege #lagov

This is turning very ugly (not the presser although I am sure that is too).

New strains and new medicines for each one. How many different strains will there be? 400? 5 million?

There is going to be a ton of cash in big pharma hands.
