I think this was an opportunistic murder. Killed him then floated him into the marsh knowing he'd be gator food.

My young teen-age son wanted to watch it last year during our evacuation from Laura, so we said what the hell and rented it online.

Thats why you dont get near water that potentially has gators in it. Common sense. It sucks that he got attacked and i feel bad for his wife and family, but you have to be smarter than that. This could have definitely been prevented with the use of minor/obvious precaution. Damn.

Man, we grew up swimming in gator infested waters. They don’t attack unless defending a nest. I’m more worried about water moccasins than gators.

I know this is tragic and I feel for his wife...but gettin eaten by a gator will always be funny.
