I live in an area where we border a neighborhood with a lot of hud homes. I notice a lot of activity on the streets. Life styles differ from area to area. What effect is this going to have on the spread of the virus?

I’ve seen no noticeable difference other than businesses being shuttered

Would it hurt if La. would post a few details about victims of this virus. Age, sex, weight. No name, Race would be interesting. Especially when we are talking about New Orleans. Fear could change dangerous behavior and habits. I could envision a mass migration out of the city if this virus gets out of hand there. This could be catastrophic to outlying areas.

I'd prefer no one be allowed to leave the damn city. They're just going to frick up the rest of the country.

Trashy people are going to fill our hospitals and have a high death rate.

They don't seem to be taking it seriously at all.

My point is NOLA probably has the potential to make things worse for a lot of nearby areas. Lock them the frick in.

I drive through and around New Orleans everyday. Everywhere I’ve been has been extremely quiet. I’m as surprised as anyone.

I saw a map the other day that tracked cell phone data to see who was observing the stay at home. Louisiana in general had an A. I believe only one area outside Lafayette was a problem.

I’d say we hit all the ‘cultured’ criteria...Refined taste (best food on planet), manners (yes sir/ma’am & even cotillion are still alive and well) and education (LSU - enough said)

South La. Is full of Cajuns. French, Spanish and Creole. Add in the black population there also. The northern towns and parishes are sometimes dominated by Italians, German, Hungarian and other Europeans. Some people greet with a hug and a kiss. Just saying each group is different in the way they do things. Huggers, huggers everywhere.

I can tell you that North BR is still acting like North BR. They act like nothing is going on and it's just one big holiday. But I can tell that its starting to wear thin. Once those gubment checks go out its gonna be pandemonium.

I am here right now.

Remember the chapelle skit about reparations?

The other night around 8 PM. It sounded like they were having a block party. Loud rap music and plenty of chatter.

LSU, tho' I love it, is as far from being Harvard as Bunkie is from being New Orleans. If that's all you've got to brag on with respect to education, find something else to brag on.

I assume where I lived in Louisiana differs from neighborhood.

Wish this virus shite wasnt a reality for Louisiana. I know everyone is already anxious about making a living as is.
