That is one of the most honest and level headed responses from a local meteorologist I’ve ever read.

Quick question for the western needs here

Will it be worse than Dec 1989? That’s my reference point for a local cold weather event.

EURO takes shape similar to the others. The temps are still considerably higher for our area than the other models at this same time, though.

The EURO is slowly coming aboard with the rest of the models. We see this during hurricane season. When the EURO is so different from the others and the others stick to their game, the EURO slowly and steadily caves.

For those of us who are wishing for record cold and ice/sleet/snow, I would say this afternoon's EURO is another small step in the right direction.

So, Peej is bring us news. I found a likeness of what the Peej abode will appear like next week. Sadly the cigarette butts and empty beer cans are not visible in the photo.

It won't be 28 inches of snow. It won't be 28 inches of anything.

It could, however, be 8-10 inches of sleet and ice.

We're still awaiting your prediction. Have you obtained enough information from stormcast to formulate a prediction yet?

Nope, just an observation, is it ok if I call you porkskin rather than Peej? Also, do you need to drain the plumbing or is it all outdoors? :)

I’ve read news paper articles and old letters from residents of the old Bayou Sara town that existed then along the Ms River near present day St Francisville. They talked about having a foot or more of snow on the ground for 11 days I think. Hard to wrap your mind around that.
