central Louisiana

sorry... I've posted so much of his stuff in these threads with the central Louisiana/Alexandria tags that I assumed everyone had it figured out by now

Here in sp-bossier this storm Wednesday looks like 1/2” of ice and 3-8” of snow depending on which model you trust. I don’t have a good feeling about keeping power and it’s going to be 13-14 Thursday night again. We have 5” on the ground now plus sleet under it.

pretty much just which side of the Red River you're on

ETA: biggest difference of the 2...

Pineville has a Whataburger... Alexandria has a Cane's

Meteorologist Nick Mikulas

Does this guy work for anyone? I saw someone say recently that he was part time or freelance and had pretty much gotten out of meteorology as career. Either way, he's good.

he used to work for KALB but apparently got out of that and is now a Facebook forecaster for big stuff and does whatever else for a full time job now

he's a nice 2nd voice to have when you really only have 1 news station covering your area and it's head up by Tom Konvicka and a bunch of kids getting on their 1st TV jobs out of college and on their way to the big time

I-20 seems to be the cutoff for most models for the snow and ice line.

I'm kinda hoping now that we get mostly sleet and the ice stay south.

Kinda like how the models showed CenLa to get lots of ice this morning, but they got sleet instead.

I'm hoping the same thing happens for us on Wednesday as I think I'm staying put now

*fingers crossed

Wednesday isn't an issue, it is Thursday and Friday right?

Also, this can't be right, dropping 10 degrees in next hour?

Are there any models for Thursday for SELA? My weather app just has it raining with Temps in the 40s and 50s.
