Louisiana division

Is it true that in Louisiana there is so much division among cities and regions for a state it’s size? Lafayette folks hate br. Nola and br hate each other. Parts of south La hates north La. LC and Lafayette seem to have similar tension. North shore Vs Nola proper. Shreveport Vs Monroe. Is it a jealousy thing or what? Anyone got some explanations

It does exist and it's stupid. If Lafayette and Lake Charles are doing well than it's good for all residents in the state. The same is true if it were BR and Nola.

I live in NOLA, graduated from BR, never heard of Lafayette.

Louisiana residents have no state pride which is sad.
The few That do are discouraged by idiots who claim "you're in South Arkansas"
The State has some natural beauty which is sad because the people who live there throw trash all over the place, because they have no State pride
