No. They are both up your nose.

You are getting it confused with the antibody test.

WAFB

quote:

The St. Tammany Parish Health System is canceling all inpatient elective surgeries due to an increase in COVID-19 related hospitalizations.

quote:

The St. Tammany Health system is reporting 34 patients currently in COVID care at the moment, which is an increase of 14 patients from last week.

quote:

The hospital says outpatient procedures that do not require a hospital stay will proceed and the system will allow emergency inpatient procedures.

How many people are hospitals going to kill by denying procedures?

Does the appearance of updating numbers as far back as June 29th affect your number from yesterday?

No, the June 29th cases does not change my numbers from yesterday. The large amount of cases from 11/27 does. Those would normally get reported on the 28th, 29th, and 30th.

I use the number of positive cases based on the actual test date, not the date it was reported. I also keep an extra day in my numbers to offset the under-reporting of the most recent days. The LDH assumes that if it's been over 14 days since the positive test, and the person isn't dead or in the hospital, than the person is recovered. By that theory, the positive cases from tests on 11/17/20 should be recovered and not an active case.

So you’re telling me we’re where we are for more than 5300 ACTIVE CASES?????????

No, there are currently 24,031 active cases by my method. We are back in phase 2 because 0.5% of the state of LA has an active case. And of that group, 5.3% are in the hospital. That means 0.0275% of the state of LA is in the hospital with COVID. We don't know how many of those are in the hospital because of COVID vs another reason.
