I mean, isn't this how all viruses spread?

Just letting folks know that it's not mostly being generated in nursing homes, prisons, or hospitals.

Rough back of napkin calculations for the partial data:

562 positives / 7362 tests (7.6% positive)

How many more tests do we think they're going to report when it's all said and done?

The whole parking lot at Cajun Field is full of barricades for the testing line.

This is what it looks like to me:

I've only passed by in the evenings when it is closed.

Maybe I'm mistaken and they've been holding a livestock auction.

Looks like data in from 21 labs, typically somewhere between 70 and 90 labs report.

The next outbreak will be tied to the "Lab data technician all night kegger" that apparently left 50-70 data entry techs too hung over to type today.

Source for the first sentence: Sam Karlin Twitter

Source for the second sentence: Logical guess based on what I would do if I was typing in the same data over and over again for 6 months.

How do you frick somthing up you have literally done every singe day for 5 months?

I think they forgot to add the 1 in front of both numbers. It is likely to be 15xx cases and 17xxx tests.
