Those are good questions concerning legit stuff (especially as they relate to liability)..

However, I say frick it, let’s open back up.

Oh I know I’m just pointing out that there’s been some things that have been said that Betsy said that aren’t true.

Like they said she said “Only .02% of students were going to die of COVID once school started”. Which was completely false

The school district my daughter is in sent out a questionnaire asking the parents what they wanted. As a result PK-6 is full time regular schedule, with the option for online classes. 7-12 is hybrid 2 days a week and online.

I asked my daughter what she wanted to do, and without hesitation it was to get back to school. I feel sorry for the high school age kids, and especially the Sr.s. They get fricked in this whole situation. No sports, dances, clubs, or socializing with their friends. Most of those kids will lose contact with each other after graduation.

In my opinion it should be up to the parents and students. The schools, teachers and staff are paid for from our taxes, and tuitions. Time for the school systems and teachers to suck it up and get back to work. My wife I have been blessed to have kept working through all of this. We've had to "expose" ourselves to it, so suck it up buttercups..... Wear your mask, and practice good hygien.

There is no school liability, people will not be able to sue school districts if someone catches it

Apparently you can still sue, but only if you can prove these minimal guidelines weren't met

The legislature also needs to step up and straight make "I caught the COVID cuz..." related lawsuits illegal.

Well, I guess it’s time to thin the herd of cops and teachers. The Cambodians did that years ago in The Killing Fields.

They are doing a lot of these things outside of sanctioned events.

Where?

Besides protest, Tigerland and private graduation parties.

I am saying the older kids (especially seniors) meet up together, have private parties etc. Might as well let them go to school and play ball.

I agree but unfortunately the decision isn’t up to the irresponsible parents that are allowing these private parties.

It isn’t irresponsible to let small groups of kids get together. I would argue it is necessary

So now you’ve changed your stance to small groups? Okay yes, I can’t argue with that.

You went from having class parties, dances, playing sports, going to school, to having small get togethers.

Make up your mind

Does the Governor need to tell you if it should be 10 or 20?

I never said they were doing things by the thousands. My mind didn’t change.

So what did they decide to do? Open the schools on time? Push back a month?
