Although I don’t encourage massive parties during this time, I believe you have the right to chose to do so if you please. It is getting hard to tell the difference between mainland China and California at this point.

Los Angeles homeowners who violate the city’s coronavirus-related safety measures may find themselves on the receiving end of some unwelcome consequences. During a press conference Wednesday night, Mayor Eric Garcetti authorized the city to shut off power and water to properties, including houses and businesses, that are in violation of gathering regulations as a means to “shut these places down permanently.” “By turning off that power, shutting off that water we feel we can close these places down, which usually are not one-time offenders but multiple-offenders,” Garcetti said.

I’d be surprised if it happened. Well, I hope at least, that this is just a threat.
Still, how would this even be legal?

Its always funny when Democrats show their dumb arse selves
We wont shut off utilities for non-payment but we will shut them off for payment if you dont do what we like.
Mental illness folks.

The biggest thing our democracy needs is a constitutional stipulation that every elected official can be subject to an emergency recall vote.

To him, yes.
San Diego is the GOAT in Cali though.

LA would've had a field day with the CHOP zone in Seattle then.

That is just an empty threat, but a hilarious one.

Shreveport's wonderful mayor (who will be running for senate) tried this before a judge told him to go frick himself

Nothing they have "mandated" through this has been legal. Why would they stop now when no one has put them in check thus far?

That’s why I said this is probably just a threat. I’m sure lawyers are salivating at the idea of a city shutting off a client’s power and water in LA in the middle of summer.
