Oh good Lord. Just because some Arab in L.A. kills his kid for being queer, now the south is a model of tolerance? Get real. 
We just had 3-4 State legislatures pass laws codifying religious bigotry. Yeah, the media has it all wrong.

Apparently Allah was unhappy with his son being gay. He'll get off, especially with all of the Muslim tolerance being preached from liberal places like California.

I don't disagree with those points, but I'm referring to the vitriol by their peers. Some of the breakups and things I've seen said/done occur disproportionally among that community. It may be purely anecdotal evidence, but nonetheless that has been my experience.
