Teenagers are doing it... someone stole my candy I left on the porch, people come to my neighbor hood that don't live here... blah blah blah.

Jeez some of you are miserable. I live in the country and no one comes to my place.

I would love it if they did cause I would totally be out there with a chainsaw (with no chain) or something scaring kids and raising some hell.

And of course letting my wife give out some good candy to the brave.

Some of yall are whiny as shite. Anyone willing to dress up and come to my house is more than welcome to some candy, I don't care about their age or where they are from.

Had tons of kids. Everyone was nice. Sat outside and sipped on some beers, spent some time with the wife, weather was great. Glad to see our Halloween crowd more normal after the past 2 years.

If LSU beats Alabama on Saturday, you'll be just as petty and irrational as they are.

Agreed….the whole shite doesn’t last more than a couple of hours and no one is forced to participate if they don’t want to.

One kid told me tonight that this was the most fun he had ever had.. he probably had five bucks worth of candy in his bag.

Give it a rest, Bubba. If you really wanted to participate, you’d be at the local trunk or treat or some school haunted house in costume. Don’t sit isolated out in the sticks then find fault with the urbanites who are actually engaged. They may be whiny, but they’re also participating. You may find you agree with them if you actually partook.

Saw 200 kids tonight. Gave each 3 good pieces of candy….snickers/Twix/skittles/sour patch/milky way/ kitkats/Reece’s cups all fun size and none of that bite size stuff. Gave out 600 pieces to little kids, teen’s and whoever else wanted to come. Most not from my neighborhood. I live in a nice neighborhood with good sidewalks. For one night a year to give the kids a great night I say come on into my neighborhood and have fun

Good for you sir! I had a record 30-40 trick or treaters - it was great. Wish I had as many as you. Halloween trick or treating is an American tradition that should thrive. As a little kid it’s the very first taste of freedom, charging down the street dressed as your idol and getting CANDY as a reward. It’s juvenile nihilism; I love it!!

Big talk for someone who lives somewhere where no one comes to trick or treat.

My only complaint (West Mandeville) is that while it was very busy for an hour or so it dropped off real quick around 8. I wish more people would have come by.
