Have a lawyer friend in Colorado and she is saying the hardest thing there right now is where to put all the cash. Colorado will make so much money of this new law that other states will fall into place. But with the oil filed being here and the new safe gulf good luck with that.

Colorado right now:

Does a Legislator think that he/she can be re-elected by voting in favor of this? What do you Poli-board guys think?

Depends on the district.

Problem is, legislators aren't in the business of convincing their constituents of why something needs changing. They're only good at echoing popular sentiment usually catering to the lesser educated.

Change comes slow because legislators are terrified of risk.

Sadly probably won't pass. But at least the ball is rolling in the right direction.

Also the drinking age should be 18.

Have you been around the 18 year olds in BR? They are retarded enough as it is.

I'm 24 and don't smoke anymore but I can still find it and have it within the hour. I know 30 year olds that are the same way.

which is rather sad. I could see LA being one of the handful of states that are the last to make this legal.

Well, if New Orleans could vote on it separate from the state it would be legal.

This is another reason why NOLA > BR.

You can bring this debate into any thread

Hell, most people smoke in Ak. but the last time full legalization came up, it failed (You can have some in home for personal use now)

Seems those who are against it are more politically active.

That demographic is also the least likely to get out and vote. No?

I just don't really see the difference between marijuana and alcohol. I assume alcohol is more dangerous, though.

But if they are high, they'll miss the bus because they will forget to vote.

Depends on how motivated they are. Fear seems to be the greatest political motivator.

Oh, I've never read the bible. I'm just assuming that's why the bible belt is so uptight about weed.
