Welp. Ard won.
Jizzing in our kids food is not enough to sway the population of Livingston Parish.

I believe I’d demand a recount if it was me. Might as well with it that close.

There's no paper trail. It's just whatever Dominion says it was.

Low turnout is what won the day for him.

124 more people voted for Sheriff than Parish President in the same election?
Sheriff Ard beat his opponent by 115 votes.

I think Dominion gives you extra votes, or social credit points, if you cover for child predators.

If a good candidate comes Jason is gone. He will probably retire before defeat next election

Guess you don't get how a dictatorship works.
There won't be a successor until Ard picks his own.

Jason is nowhere near Willie status. Willie picked Jason. Jason has nobody to put in place. Nobody trust the Ards anymore. I think he’s a good guy caught in a bad situation. ?????

I think if Jeff Ard would have not run for Parish President, Jason Ard would have won more convincingly. Nobody wanted that much power in a single family.
On the flip-side, had a legitimate challenger (who had some semblance of knowledge of what it meant to be a sheriff) run against Jason Ard, it seems Jason Ard would have lost convincingly.

Agree. It’s scary Brett got so close. I don’t think he’s anywhere near a real candidate. Jason needs to take notice of this. I saw him at an event this week. He has such an arrogance now that he didn’t even speak to people,,,almost a look at me I’m the sheriff type attitude.

Do the people in Livingston not think Ard was a little loose with Perkins and allowing him to serve despite the warning signs?

That's just the blue line and it's been around since the dawn of time. People look after their own.
The problem is it backfired because this guy happened to be a predator.
Think about it. How many times have you heard people say "I would have never thought "so and so" would have killed all those people" after a serial killer is arrested. Many times neighbors, family, and friends are surprised.
Now combine that with the blue line and looking out for a friend only to have that royally bite you in the arse.
I know alot of people who are in those circles and that's basically what happened. Ard was betrayed and had to bare the brunt of it as I've heard.
I'm sure that would have to suck if we ever found ourselves in that position.
