wice a day steamed veggies with just olive oil and lemon no salt

Then after a week cleanse, same thing but added a chicken breast twice a day

I shed 40 lbs in 3 or so months.

Granted Im 6'7 so I went from 265 to 225. Still though I lost weight quick, its brutal without salt but you get used to it

No, no, no

use salt normally. not using salt is a cheat to lose water.

NOT chicken twice a day. its constipating.
I didn't even mention chicken.
use fish and roast beef.
twice a week for that boneless skinless chicken breast. pop for organic. you will love the difference.

dabigfella was not on a diet you can keep to for a year.
He used juices. that's fine if you can do it.
You can lose 10 lbs in a week on juices.

Eat healthy, its not difficult. You can work out all you want but if you arent changing your diet it's pointless

^^^this x 1000.

It is impossible to "burn" a pound of calories in a reasonable workout regimen of weights and cardio. Drink water. Avoid wrapped up food and fast food. Eat more protein, less sugar and fat.

I mean I still have a juice a day for breakfast today before work and then I have a ton of steamed veggies for dinner everyday usually :asparagus, broccoli, portabella mushrooms, yellow peppers, carrots, and onion. I have it everyday now with salt and pepper bc it needs flavor.

Im actually 204 lbs now so im down like 60 off my peak. I just try to to have a juice for morning, whatever for lunch and a snack, and steamed veggies for dinner. I think eliminating 4 bad meals down to 2 bad meals and 2 good ones has been enough for me but my metabolism is probably higher bc of my height

Honestly? Eat a big breakfast, and modest lunch and dinner. Don't eat your dinner after 4 p.m.

Pick up some form of running (soccer/basketball), specifically burst training which is the reason I suggested those two. Google that if you are unsure.

Progress will be a little slow, but you should burn fat a bunch in that "program". It takes minimal lifestyle change, and is very effective.

Wasn't cheap. I ended up putting the weight back on a few years later.

At the end of my college career my fitness was at its peak. Things are looking bleak for you.

The gut will probably be the last thing to go. And others are right. You must eat better to lose weight. Then you workout to get toned and to get the look you want. Being thin or average without being toned isn't a good look. Plan on 1 hour of hard workout per week minimum. 2-3 hours is much better. But whatever you think is sustainable for you.

prolly need to go back to school and get another degree ... it's extremely complicated to lose weight/fat and the task should not be undertaken without proper education and training ...

how to localize a diet or workout just for that

You are about to graduate college? It seems the "education" you received has failed you. I suggest you start over because you seem really dumb.

Once again, stop drinking so much beer. Stop eating too much crap. Drink water. Run and go to the gym.

This isn't brain surgery, son!

Does anyone know of if shifting from beer to liquor actually helps- say going from 3 or 4 beer during a game to a couple bourbons?

Run.

I workout 5-6 days a week and couldn't start losing weight until I started running.
Start with 1-2 miles and work your way up to 5-6

There is no such thing as localized fat burning.

But specific plans or diets is what I was more curious about.

My wife had a heart attack three weeks ago. While it was not caused by any of the standard things, she is doing the heart healthy stuff. She has dropped 20 pounds in three weeks. I will tell you what she is eating.

Every day:

Oatmeal for breakfast. No Sugar added. A small coffee and a Greek yogurt.

Throughout the day she eats an apple, a banana, and a navel orange. Also has a handful of unsalted, dry roasted peanuts.

At night she does a baked chicken breast with California mix veggies. No salt, but pepper and various spices.

She also does a pasta type dish with zucchini sliced thin as her pasta. It is all about tomatoes, peppers, onions and garlic.

Multiple veggies at any time.

If you decide to do this it is a pain until you get used to it. She has also not added any exercise. You should add exercise though. Let me know how it works for you.

I looked through a few responses to the OP. The best way of losing your gut is not through exercise. It may sound simple or facetious, but not eating is the best way to lose a gut. The next best way and more practical way is to eat as little as possible. Takes a lot of patience and commitment. Be prepared to fail. You must be willing to persevere past failure.

Burn 2500 calories
Eat 2000 calories
Keep protein high then fill the rest with whatever you want.

I prefer pop tarts and sushi.
