Does the Suburban have some kind of double duct system or something? If your compressor is serviced (full of refrigerant) should be cool everywhere

Go to Auto Zone they'll run the codes for you for free and tell you what it means.

Go to Autozone and have them use their code reader to identify the codes activating the check engine light. They do it for free.

You have a dual climate control system on this Suburban. Here is what a quick google search turned up.

Try this first. Take the fuse out for the heater, the HVAC fuse. Wait 20 seconds, then install the fuse. Start the engine and wait 5 mins for the system to recalibrate. Do this 2 more times and see if the function returns. If not then you need to remove the actautor and move the door by hand to see if the door is physically working. If it is, then check the wiring and if that is good, replace the actuator.

If it is the door There is a feedback circuit inside this actuator and they are common for failing. When they fail, they default to full hot. Turning it off and on cycles it and it operates properly again.
