Looking for a non-tourist guide to Boston for the weekend.

Heading to Beantown in less than 2 weeks, and will have the wife with me Friday-Sunday. Looking for locals recommendations while she's there that isn't "touristy". Not duck boats or Copley Square or Cheers.
We're hooking up with the AU Alumni club Saturday for the LSU/AU game just outside Harvard, but looking for other local stuff that weekend.
9/18-9/20.

I went to think it was called Bell in Hand?? Friday night and it was fun for happy hour. Right by Faneuil hall, there were a bunch of bars around there

A tourist from Georgia wants to pretend to be a local in Boston? Wasn't that already a sitcom that failed miserably?
There's a bar on every corner, and good food everywhere, but you're going to stand out like a tourist in every single one of them.

I mainly went to college bars when I was there. Also check out harpoon brewing when you're there.

Post your email, I have a document already written for just such occasions.

Not trying to pretend to be a Bostonian...just looking to give her the true experience I got a couple years ago when our professor took us there who was a local bostonian. Want her to experience the city outside of duck boat rides and cheers shot glasses.

Both the black rose and bell in hand are pretty touristy. But if you like history, Bell in Hand is worth popping into.

If you haven't been to Boston, I'd still go to Little Italy.

Sorry I couldn't meet everyone up there Sat night, ended up being the wedding rehearsal dinner down in Sharon 6-10. Had a ton of fun on Fri night in the city with the groom + groomsmen, didn't realize how many hot women there were in Boston

Yeah the north end can be worth a look. Best restaurant in the city (and far from touristy) is called Carmen.
It's directly next door to Paul Reveres House. Has maybe 10 tables total and the food is ridiculous.

Honestly I was running late after a day at the beach (which was awesome - perfect weather), and by the time I got back it was pretty clear we wouldn't be playing.
So it's all good.

How do I get to Carmen on the T?

Closest station is North Station. Get off there (which is actually TD Garden) and walk maybe a quarter of a mile.
