Still dirty technology to make those.
These "zero emission" vehicles have a much larger "carbon footprint" than traditional vehicles the moment they hit the showroom floor.
An electric vehicle with 400 miles of range will cause more CO2 emissions in its lifetime than a traditional ICU vehicle.

That’s simply not true. A stress cased break even on 100% coal generation for a Tesla model 3 is 78,000 miles.

People are so easily persuaded when someone is saying what they want to hear. But what you want to hear just isn't true. Sorry.

Several claims in this talk lack scientific support.

EVs bring out all the confirmation bias in TD.

The grid grows every year. That growth has ranged from 5TWh to 100TWh depending on demand. Investment has never been a problem. Look at the stock of some of the big infrastructure players. Money is pouring into that sector.
And nuke just got a fresh Biden subsidy so yes they will start popping up.

The manufacturer's quit making them as work vehicles. You don't have the option to buy a brand new full size truck strictly for work or towing purposes. They're all super overpriced over optioned luxury vehicles covered in plastic.

Wtf are you talking about? I purchased 500 work trucks last year.

In 1984 median income was 24,000 and a brand new F-150 cost 7-11,000
Now median income is 70,000 and a brand new F-150 cost 45-100,000
That's what I'm talking about. Trucks are 2-3x more expensive even accounting for inflation. What did you order, F-350s? A bare bones option for work doesn't exist for the consumer.

I don’t disagree with the crazy price inflation. But they do make them.
It was a blend of 1500-5500 class trucks from all of the big three.

I used to have 10 120W flood lights outside my house that were on for ~10 hours every night. I replaced them with 14W LED bulbs. They used to consume 10x120x10x365/1000 = 4,380 kWh each year. The new LED bulbs consume only 511 kWh each year, a savings of 3,869 kWh per year. Driving a typical 15k miles each year in a Tesla which gets about 4 miles per kWh would consume about 3,750 kWh per year. Just my outdoor lighting used to consume more power than an EV, and I think you would be absolutely shocked to calculate how much power a house full of 60 watt bulbs consumes. I know in my house I have 6 bulbs on for ~8 hours/day in the family room plus 14 bulbs in the kitchen on about 6 hours/day. We're already looking at (6x8x60x365 + 14x6x60x365)/1000 = 2,890 kWh, and I haven't even gotten to the bedrooms and bathrooms yet.
I could charge 2 EVs with the power saved by switching this house to LED, and my total consumption would still be less than it was 5 years ago.

Every single one of them white I bet
Y'all have an employee sellback program after 200k miles or so? Your workers would be itching to buy them.

Yeah. Work trucks are white. I’m not sure where you’re going with that.
We do have a sell back option. No ones in line to get one of these things after they use full life out. They all have engine hours closer to 400k of use and they’re beat to fricking hell. I’ve never been asked to approve a single employee purchase. But I would for auction estimated value or even less.

Imagine being this clueless about load, transformers and distribution, you are an idiot. Tell me how fast charging a Tesla compares to running light bulbs, no one can be this stupid.

$38-75k MSRP
3 year old ones with 100k miles are still $30k
It's his entire salary. It used to be one fourth his salary. The reason the new trucks on the road aren't being worked is because the individual workman who actually needs it is priced out. He has no choice but to buy keep the old POS
