What can you do?

I definitely will send out your video to your contacts including members of your family, colleagues, and so forth. It will not shield you from the humiliation your family will face when friends learn your unpleasant videotape. Option 2 is to make the payment of 0.15 BTC. We will call this my “keep the secret charges”. Now Lets see what happens if you choose this option. Your secret remains private. I'll delete the recording. After you send the payment, I will let you keep your routine life and family as though none of this ever occurred. You'll make the payment through Bitcoins

I got the same e-mail yesterday.
I have to admit, since switching over to a Pixel 2 XL (Project Fi network), I've gotten a lot more spam calls and e-mails like this.

To be fair, he's referring to a tracking pixel, not a pixel that helps generate an image on your screen.
Tracking pixels do provide the ability to see when something has been viewed.
It is obviously a scam, but his reference to a special pixel is legit at least

I would LOVE to get one of these emails. My response "I don't give a frick if you release "the video". You should also know this attempt at extorting money, videoing without consent, etc has been sent to the local PD, FBI, CIA, etc. They are the least of your worry for I will also bring civil action if you do release the tape for 15,000 BTC."

I received a very similar e-mail on my work e-mail last week. But the password that he listed was an actual password that I used several years ago. That part was kind of scary. They also wanted $3000 paid in Bitcoin. I ignored the e-mail and deleted it.

That email is still good enough to scare the shite out of most of the non tech people in my family. All of the males upon getting something like that would be contacting me.
Obv it is a scam and since you are tech inclined you know that, However this stuff words on some level with our populace and that is sad.

These are usually generated from a cache of stolen passwords on accounts that already have your email (LinkedIn, airlines, etc...). The emails and passwords are sold in bulk to less scrupulous individuals.
