I don't eat any place that does that. A lot of places do a milder boil and dust for people who want hotter. Not my thing, either, though.
My father in law, about as Cajun as they come, lives in Arnaudville, speaks french, whole nine yard, will boil in seasoned water but still sprinkle Tony's on at least some of them.
