I agree with both of these things Poxy.
The hackers aren't good people and the way it went down was fricked up.
But it doesn't excuse or erase the fact that a shite load of people on that list cheated on their spouses and potentially ruined their and their kids lives.
I just can't being myself to have sympathy or empathy for someone who spends hundreds of dollars on a cheating hooker porn site.

I agree. I am just torn on what would have kept happening if it didn't happen. How many people would have continued to live lies and put on a show. I hate it for some families especially with kids but I bet this subject would be split down the middle if you ask people. I mean I have been unmarried for 6 years because I am not ready to make that commitment again. I don't have to put on a fasod. <-----is that a word

I guess I just still look for the good in people and expect more out of people (even if I don't know them). I'm sure there were people on the site that spent money and did go through with cheating. I'm sure just as many never did anything other than sign up and dumbly put in credit card info to send some messages. I just don't think it's fair for us to judge because some hackers released a list of real names and addresses and association with the site.

Take your pick. There are far too many options in this world for porn and chatting. There's no reason for you to enter your information and credit cards to do that shite. Even if they didn't cheat, at minimum they're stupid enough to do that.
The Internet isn't private. People need to understand that. Make better choices. No one gives a shite what single people are on there. It's the married pieces of shite that we care about.

This whole conversation has been all of us agreeing with each other in a roundabout way.

Lesson to the world from all of this- any info you have online isn't sacred. Any info you have on here isn't either. It's not just your average TD user, who in a roundabout way know each other, who is reading what you write on here.
I had a friend email me a long time ago asking if I was TT05 on TD. I was surprised they could have figured me out, but I realized over the years I've put where I went to HS, college, my major, minor details about my husband/work/kids. So, if you're a person who uses their real name, your industry, intimate details about your private lives- it won't be difficult to figure out who you are.

I see both sides of it. I still can't help but have some sympathy for some of these guys. People make bad decisions, doesn't always make them bad people.
