I pulled out the Martin tonight for the first time in weeks. I need to find a better place for it; roomba keeps trying to knock over the stand.

One of the few "it" things that is worth the hype. The books are pretty damn good as well.

Quick question for some of you older fellas that are involved in the hiring process.

I have an interview Friday at 3pm. They are doing several interviews that day but I was offered to interview first thing in the morning. Or does I really not matter as long as I shine?

Would it be better to be the first of the bunch to interview or one of the last?

I set the interview for 3pm since I have to be down in the CBD Friday evening anyway already. Job is on Poydras.

Thanks in advance m8s

First of all, I'm not much older than you, cub.

Second, what industry is this job in? No bullshite, what job is it for?

3rd, I think whatever the job is for is a step forward. You remember that line that the limo driver gave to Robby in The Wedding Singer about how sad it was about Fonzie being an old man hitting on young chicks?

First may not seem ideal but you'll be the interview they have the most enthusiasm for and you get to set a standard in their head that the others have to meet

Last interview may be freshest in their head but if you interview well it won't matter.

Show you want the job. Ask them questions about their satisfaction and why you would want to work there. Show you've researched the job

Well I wasn't really trying to call anyone especially you 'old' was just phrasing it for everyone or whatever.

But the job isn't really what I'm worried or asking about...

Just curious if by 3pm on Friday If the hiring manager will be about fed up with interviewing by that point and if it would be best to email his assistant in the morning and switch the interview for 9am?

Or if it really isn't a big deal as long as I kill the interview no matter the time.

yeah I'm on top of all that already... I'm not worried about my interview skills. That's my strong suit.

Enthusiasm will get you farther than a resume and experience if you're a grown arse man.

We have tougher hiring standards for kids fresh out of college because they typically lack responsibility and follow through that you'll get from a 30 something switching careers or went to school late or whatever.

You have the conception of maturity on your side because you're a man not some 20 something kid

Even though we know you still party
