I hire college grads at $15/hr. Most aren't worth shite

he did say that he transferred colleges and that even with the classes he didnt do so well in, he had a 3.95 gpa.
Unless he had one hell of an opportunity, in that he was set for life, it's basically always a dumb decision to drop out of college.

Not at all... Economy makes this an employers market, period.

I made ends meet on $22k right out of school. Of course that was 18 yrs ago, but I think you'll be fine.

The ones who made it through. While I did learn a language, I didn't learn jack shite on how to work in a business. A business major is really worthless and is merely there to show you're not a moron and may be hirable. I've learned basically all of my business skills on the job.

You aren't going to snag desirable business graduates by dangling $15/hour.

I never agree with land shark, but do here, these kids are fools.

This times 100. Even engineering grads I work with straight out of college don't know much about anything. They know all about theory but have no application sense. And those are the most work-ready graduates out there.
I learned more my first 2 years working than I learned in 4 (ok...5) years of college.

Internships are huge in engineering.
I actually learned a lot during my internship last summer and was surprised at how much it helped when working on senior design.

I was paid $15 an hour in my initial salary, and it was a management training program that goes over a 3 year period. I'm on Year 2 now, so even if I somehow get fired, I will be a pretty valuable employee for anyone who hires me. I'm paid more now that I've made it to Phase 3 of 5, but its super valuable despite the fact that I don't get paid a ton.

I finish grad school in 3 weeks. I know what a number of different business disciplines make coming out of school. I have a firm grasp on the market.

Wow, didn't expect all this when asking this question lol. This is 55,000 before taxes, but from some of the responses I see that it shouldn't be any issues. Thanks guys.

Honestly grad school for business is pretty much bullshite. I did it, and I didn't learn shite except get a masters by my name. You learn everything on the job. Don't go in acting like an expert, since you don't know shite.
