I’ve always said prisoners should be picking up trash everyday along side our roads rain or shine.

People caught littering should be sentenced to 100 hours of cleanup first offense. Second offense is jail. All the litter along the interstate is gross.

Just like a Louisianaian. Looking for the government to help when the issue is the culture.

Why do so many people in Louisiana litter.

Our cub scout group picked up the same location each month and always filled our bags.

Even if Nunguesser spent taxpayer money to pick up your mess, some other thoughtless uncultured arse would have it re-littered by the end of the day.

Much of the trash comes from roll-offs and other commercial sources.

I could not agree with this more

You really don't realize how bad the litter problem is here in Louisiana until you go visit another state and then come back here....

The degenerate carpetbagging rustbelt scum in Florida can out-litter anyone in Louisiana.

You clearly haven't spent much time out of Louisiana if you don't think other people litter.

Or maybe people from LA shouldn't be so trashy. It's every road in LA. Saw prisoners picking up trash on a rural 2 lane highway and they had a full bag every 50 yards = on both sides of the road.

I have spent a great deal of time outside of the state of Louisiana - and what I've noticed is the litter problem appears to be worse here than most other states that I visit on a frequent basis..... even family that live out of state, when they come visit us in louisiana, they make the same comments as well

I live slightly off the grid but they came down our road last week and did a really nice job. Already a few days later there is trash strewn around both sides of the road. People are just so fricking trashy. Would’nt it be awesome if a fricking lightning bolt just struck down anyone who litters. Like I’ve never understood the thought process of rolling down a window and chucking a can or bottle or empty bag out. Surely wherever you’re headed has a trash can.

it's worse here. I've never seen dirty diapers dumped in restaurant or grocery parking lots in other states.
