Litter along I-12; MNDVL-SLDL; Hello Mr. Nungesser

Went from Mandeville to Slidell today. I started to notice litter along the roadside. I decided to time how often I passed at least 1 piece of visible litter. For the next 20 miles straight, I passed at least 1 piece of visible litter *PER SECOND* - sometimes more - for a solid stretch of 20 miles.

It’s okay. I was traveling south on I-110 through north Baton Rouge yesterday. A guy dumped a shite ton of trash out the passenger window. The driver looked like he was trying to empty everything in the car. The car was likely stolen. BR PD was right there next to me and didn’t do shite.

What OP is describing isn't hard to do while driving safely. Especially with the amount of trash on the road.

The semis that park on entrance and exit ramps dump their trash all over the place. I hate that, so I wake them all up when I drive by in the morning.

I actually drove that way this morning. There was a Coastal Environmental Services truck with an improperly covered load. The wind was blowing white plastic grocery bags out of the top of the truck.

We want to, but the man wont allow it. If the Sheriff would pay us prisoners a living wage this wouldn’t be an issue.

As much as I hate Alabama ( sports) it is such a clean state. I’m not sure how they keep all the trash picked up but Louisiana could take a lesson
