Lightning bugs.

Saw one for the first time in years about a month ago. Prairieville area. Ran inside all excited to tell my wife and son then we sat outside for 20 min trying to find it again. Never saw it again.

We would se them all the time before we moved avoyelles parish a little more than a year ago

Lightning bugs, and they’ve made a nice comeback this year in my area. Haven’t seen them in a while but tons of them this spring because the city quit spraying mosquitoes
