It's been my experience that light colored cars and interiors always look cleaner with the same level of upkeep.

No way.

I didn't pick it. Maybe my wife has wonky taste like I do...that would explain everything.

Silver with tan is just non-existent...why is that?

B/c they mix about as well as a bathtub full of water and a hair dryer.

Tan interior is terrible. As many vehicle as I've owned I've hated the tan interior the most.

Just cleanliness? The car I'm inheriting has tan seats and some tan in the door cards, but everything else is black. With the dark blue exterior I think it looks good.

Every car my wife has owned has been white with tan interior. Cloth tan seats look like crap after 6 months. She's had leather since around 2004 though, and they hold up long term in a Honda or Toyota. The only thing we've owned that was better as far as looking clean were the dark brown leather seats in my old Grand Cherokee. It was brown ext and brown interior. Wipe those clean about once a week and they looked new. The tan will show more dirt and stains.

No, b/c black interior shows dust fairly easily.

Although w/little kids I'd never have a light interior regardless.. made that mistake before.

I had 2 integras back in HS and both were black/tan int. and I hated the tan.. Could be my bias. I just feel tan interior can give off that mawmawish feel to it if that makes sense..

Searching new cars on lots, most (all) dealers opt for charcoal or dark interiors with silver exteriors. The only exception is white exterior, tan interior...but my wife's already had that combination. Silver with tan is just non-existent...why is that?

Anyone here with silver/light and hate it?

Silver and tan don't seem like they would look good together. I think most people like dark interiors because it hides minor stains, dirt, etc.

That was my first thought. Only a grandmaw would want a white interior. You know how women are though, she thinks it modern. I just didn't think the color would age well style wise.

A lot of light interiors show dye transfer from really dark jeans that is a total PITA. Either that or an errant pen in someones back pocket can really mess up a light interior.
