Human development does.

Life on earth began at least 3.4 billion years ago and has continued since. And life itself could have started much earlier if it arrived on earth in a rock from another star system.

You could say that a new person begins at conception although most of the body's cells regenerate or new versions are created, even in areas of the brain, and a massive amount of turnover happens every 3 months so new you's are being created all the time.

Then there are the 39 trillion microbial cells that inhabit the body, can be vital to staying alive and influence behavior so they are not they, they are you, and those bastards are always reproducing.

And all that stops when you die, right?

Well, in order for something to die, it has to be alive first. Thus, life.

You would think with a heads up on ruling there would be better posts than the I/we aborted a wanted pregnancy posts “spontaneously” popping up and the other various attempts in posts so far here and on various social media the past couple of days.

Maybe some got stuck on the anger phase in the 5 Stages of Grief, and these are products of their bargaining stages.

Were you around 3.4 billion years ago to state this claim?

If only this country had secret police to take care of such heretical and obscene drivel.

Not even remotely what I was trying to do. Just pointing out that the "life begins at conception" phrase doesn't make sense. People make posts about sloppy language all the time. Didn't expect the downvotes.

And when it comes to being against abortion, it seems to me that emphasizing the human part of it is more powerful. Ask a woman who's been pregnant when she started thinking of her baby as a separate individual. I guarantee it was immediately when she found out she was pregnant.
