Isn't this basically the same type of incident at Jeremy Hill was caught in?

Similar in the fact that parents found out their daughter was a whore and blamed it on other people but the act was much different. With Jeremy Hills case I think like four guys ran the train or got oral from some girl in the locker room.

Bossier is a joke, but not for the reason you stated. How does this have anything to do with the city? You sound angry, like you were indicted for some sort of internet sex crime/texting in Bossier or something.

No Bossier and Shreveport people are both a joke exactly for this reason. The mentality from most of the locals around here is so far outdated that it is not even funny or explicable.

However, the strict interpretation of this law means, an underage person could text a picture or video to me and make me guilty of this crime, for example, without any act on my part.

I was just about to ask this exact question. Surely that can't be the case, right?

If so, a 16-year old should send photos to every state lawmaker and DA until it is changed.

Up to 2 years younger, up to 2 years older, and no crime. And, it doesn't really apply until he's 17, but don't tell him that. Stay safely in fair territory and there shouldn't be anything to worry about.

So if a 16 year old has nudes of herself on her phone, she can be charged with possession of child pornography?

Actually some jurisdictions have held that yes she could be charged in this situation.

North Carolina Case

quote:

All told, prosecutors charged Copening with five felony counts of sexually exploiting a minor: two for taking nude selfies, two more for sending them to his girlfriend, and one for possessing an explicit photo of Denson on his phone. Denson, meanwhile, was charged with two felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor: one for taking a nude selfie and another for sending it to Copening.

I'll admit I haven't followed the case to know what the outcome was though, but yes the were charged.

Dude was a 3* athlete and likely headed for a college scholarship and more. And from all accounts he was a good kid. They should have promoted the relationship.

IDGAF. The law's the law, and will be applied evenly.

See my last post about the case from NC. Short story, they charged two minors with multiple counts of child porn, both for having nude selfies of each other, and charges stemming from having nude selfies of themselves.

It shouldn't impact how this is handled, but in the real world it means a kid from shitty circumstances has a heightened chance of going to college and getting out from under the burdens that may have otherwise prevented it.

You can call it whatever the hell you would like to call it but the mentality in this area is a very unhealthy way to live life and I feel sorry for the people who live with the irrational hate that some of these people live with. Conservative values are one thing. This seems to be something else by my way of seeing it.

Yup, this is bullsh*t. If he were 23 or something, that would be understandable but they are probably less than 365 days apart in age.
