A buddy sent this to me. I got a good laugh out of it, thought I would share.

Dear Editor,
As a frequent visitor to Chicot State Park and the Louisiana State Arboretum I want to thank the members of UL's AmeriCorps and the 4-H Clubs from local middle schools who spent last Saturday cleaning up areas around the park. I participated in picking up litter along LA 3042 with a dozen volunteers and enjoyed their positive attitude despite contending with mosquitoes, filthy trash, and distracted drivers. Also, a special thanks to the local residents in the area whose laziness and ignorance of the impact litter has on the environment and the local economy make Chicot Park Road one of the trashiest in the state. Without their efforts this year's Service Day at Chicot would not have been possible. Hell, it wouldn't even have been necessary!

Nice.
I had a sales route in S LA 10 years ago and I was constantly surprised at how bad litter is. Especially in small towns near great natural areas.

A litterer is cut from the same cloth as the guy who will light up a cigarette in your house then get irate when told to take it outside.

What's alarming is the number of beer cans. Take a close look next time you're driving down the road. Mostly beer cans

Forget the beer cans. I've seen the whole case of empty beer before. Box and cans.
Sad.
Sad.

If you tell the cops to be cool when I have a dozen empty beer cans on my floor board I'll stop throwing them out the window.
