Swimming
Eats shoulders. I probably know a half dozen friends who bitch about shoulder issues. We finished our competition days 2 decades ago. I'd still swim over running, but just being honest on the wear and tear it brings. My shoulders are good, but my elbows aren't unfamiliar with tendinitis that goes back to those days.

As you age, you just have to know your body and work around it sometimes.
Truth. My kid got into track this year so I helped her train for discus and running. It involved doing some 400m “sprints” a few days a week. That was agreeable. Sorta mixed bag of distance and slight sprint.

Thought he said he was exhausted just being on set?

Yesterday I ran a half marathon. Today I did 3x3 deadlift at 250 lbs plus accessory lifts. Light weight but I got something in.
I couldn’t imagine being fat and even more so I couldn’t imagine being fat and making snide comments at people that work out. Miserable.

Mostly because I don’t like to be around a bunch of self-righteous people. I have found most people who run and work out excessively to be this type of person.

This is the biggest lie and myth perpetuated by some unknown entity. Ask sports doctors about this, it's categorically false and a legit sports doctor that's up to date with current information will refute this nonsense.

Maybe some people want to be functional when they are 75

Saucony guy, but great promo by Brooks.
I've tried both and Saucony is far superior IMO for running
I've only been a Hoka guy but how are the Saucony? I have bad knees and need that cushion.

Man, “sports doctors” depend on people who come to them with joint problems to make their living. How many perfectly healthy people go to see sports doctors? How else do sports doctors make a living? Not from people who don’t have joint/muscle/tendon/ligament problems
Maybe you just haven't found the right one. I use mine for event planning and he helps me with my training schedule to help prevent injuries. Mine is worth his weight in gold.

But why?
Some people enjoy running? There are a few people I see every morning who runs. A good friend of mine runs 3 times a week and he became more obsessed with keep track of his time and and distance that it has become his motivation. Do you see it as a bad thing?

Same goes for the crossfit crowd. Bro you work an office job and have 3 kids. Why you out here flipping tractor tires?
To be functional into your 40,50 and 60s?
Unlike most of the folks here in the South.
