I have an HSA and my company gives me $1050 each year which is my annual deductible. I'll typically contribute $25-$50 each month just so it steadily grows. It's a great plan for me since I'm young and still healthy.

Zero. Retired military. Think again, hero. Tricare for Life (or Prime or Standard) all have monthly premiums. A family premium is about $500 per year.

You obviously don't have a fricking clue there bigshot. Tricare Standard is $0. Only Tricare Prime has a premium which was up until last year at least $135/quarter for a family. I know. We were on Prime for years til it was cancelled last by Obama because we don't live within a certain distance of a military installation. And stop with the hero stuff. Your jealousy is really pathetic.

BCBS PPO. $495/month for the family. I get a wellness program discount of about $250, so the actual cost is $700+.

ETA: $1000 individual deductible and $2500 max out of pocket.

$50 ER visits (waived if admitted into hospital)
$0 in patient hospital stays
$50 (one time) for pregnancy (all pre and post natal care)
$10 physical therapy

Vision - $8 a month (for family)
one free pair of eye glasses a year and one eye exam

Dental - $22 a month (for family)

Anyone paying health insurance while being self-employed? Is it even possible to afford it as a small business owner?
