I wish we had a way to know alters. I feel let down by not being able to confirm if my suspicions (usually by noticing the same posting style or comments) are correct.

I don’t understand why anyone loves OweO on this site. He posts a barrage of inane nonsense threads on this site for his own amusement. He doesn’t care what you think about the topics, just that he got your attention.
If you’re enjoying his threads, you’ve probably suffered a traumatic brain injury. You should get that checked.

My opinion is that they think people think they are someone different because they state different "facts" about themselves. But they don't realize they respond the same way when provoked or show irrational hatred towards another poster or their crazy personality just shines through their cover.
