Let’s list stupid things EBRP Disfunctional Public Works or DPW does

1. Sign a garbage contract with a “reliable contractor” Republic Services that is not that reliable.
2. How many hours does it take four guys to trim one tree branch over a city parish road?
- 4 hours
- 1 guy trims the branch and 1 to block traffic.
- the other two are hang around to take poloriods and wait 1/2 a work day for the work van to pick them up.
3. Hire a sewage line contractor to put in a sewage line. They dig up a line and put a new one in wrong. Disfunctional Public Works end up calling out another contractor to fix the job. EBRP tax payer’s pay for it. Reason, the inspector signed off on the job without inspecting it. This happened Red Oaks area back in 2011.
Let’s highlight the great waste of tax dollars that the EBRP Disfunctional Public Works dept is.

I had the curb fixed in front of my house a few years back, the re bar was sticking out.
Called the city (they own it), no action, call three more times nothing.
Go on some city councilmen's facebook and complain.
Next day it has a painted red circle around it, three weeks later a guy jack hammers it up, on and on and on. I bet 15 different people worked on it and it was two feet of concrete.
I could have fixed it for $25.00 in about an hour

You could stand on your head and stack greasy BB's easier than getting some of these city "employees" to get off their arse and work.

you think that's just in BR? The local news here did a big deal on the city workers sleeping in forrest park, trying to hide in one of the coves. Even after coming back the next day, they were still doing it. NO ONE was fired.
I drove by a week ago, to see how it was going, and there you had it, 4 city vehicles, all in shaded areas sleeping.(was not break or lunch time)
