I don't cheap out on shoes, flip flops or not. I have a pair of OluKai's that have great arch support and I could wear them all day and they wouldn't hurt my feet.
Also have a pair of Rainbows and Chacos.

Keen Newports. Can't stand shite between my toes. Besides true flip flops don't really work with Hobbit feet like mine. Besides, your toenails are covered pretty or not.

Thanks for all the input. After much consideration and bargain hunting, I pulled the trigger and snagged these Mari Hari flops off Nordstrom Rack for $35 (retail is usually $65).

Back in 2009 the north face flip flops were pushed here.
I still have the ones I got. Very well made. Do I got the new version but don't like as much.

I bought some 1st generation Chacos back in the 90s. They were the tits and lasted for about 15 years worth of spring/summers. When they were finally slick, I got some new ones and they only lasted 3 years before splitting and falling apart.
I looked at some new Chacos yesterday, but was turned off by the price and the fact that they no longer use Vibram soles.
I ended up with some ugly - but comfortable- Keens instead.
