It does stink for sure. Criminalizing it solves nothing for anyone (except cops looking for reasons to search through your stuff)

I could be over thinking it but the unregulated part applies to the sale. I’m assuming this is going after corner stores and gas stations selling all kinds of stuff with no oversight.
Thats at least the way it reads to me.
I believe that was the mask they used to make it the "boogeyman". But in reality, it was always about the THC drinks. Those are the ones that are really scaring big alcohol. They're growing in leaps and bounds. What bothers me though is that a LOT of people who are former addicts could use these in a social setting and it was a legit alternative.
This past year state-wise, they mandated it to only 5mg a can. They then mandated it to being 4 packs at maximum, and finally they made them illegal for bars to sell them unless you were grandfathered in prior to the ban. So you can go to a few bars around town and buy them while your friends drink alcohol. Newer bars were prohibited from selling them.
But no no no, we can't have that. We can't have any of that. You can have as much alcohol as you want though. You can drive drunk too. Sure - you're not supposed to but if you get caught - what's a DWI except money? What's 2 DWI's? Three? Four? Five? Just more money!
It's so fricked up. I'd have loved to see it debated in congress but in the end, the liquor lobby knew they'd lose. So they did it like this. Slipped it into a fricking government funding bill.
It really isn't right. And I think it's striking a chord with a lot of people and hopefully the uproar will continue.

Let’s get them off safe natural beer and onto narcotics

And not one mainstream media outlet has picked up on it. That's on purpose. Because they sell a lot of ads to the alcohol industry.

People are too distracted with batshit crazy conspiracy theories and miss the manipulation that happens right in front of their face.

Narcotics? 5mg THC drinks?
Oh my sweet summer child. It must be nice to just go through life as an ignorant fool.
Well don't worry. The faux-opiate industry is still alive and well. That and the liquor industry apparently has the money on their side. At least it's all legal so it must be OK, right pawpaw?

I have pretty much stopped drinking during the week. I drink a seltzer before bed. It relaxes me, and I sleep like a baby. I wake up feeling great.
