Here's the problem right here. Anyone driving a Prius is a filthy liberal who expects someone else to pay for their mistakes!

I bet she has an Obama sticker somewhere on her vehicle.

I just texted a cop aquaintance and he helped ease my mind. He said with damage so minor to her car, chances are her insurance company isn't going to even call it an accident but reckless damage. He said she is most certainly 100% at fault.

She's at fault. You were stationary. She should of been able to stop on time. Insurance will not go up.

How do you know she didn't already have damage to her car before she hit yours?

Your insurance will split it 50-50 but they shouldn't. You're not liable

I don't. I do know she hit my door though. Made a horrible noise. I'm surprised I had no damage.

Did you take a pic of her damage and where it hit your car? If not, shame on you.

Didn't you hurt your neck in this accident. You should go to the chiropractor and document your injuries so this a-hole can pay you.

Yes I took multiple pictures. She didn't come into spot straight either. When everything was taken care of, she pulled all the way in and was crooked as frick. She went into restaurant. I took more pics of her wonderful parking job and left. We decided to eat somewhere else and get away from the menace asian driver.

No. No, your insurance company will not split the repair cost.

If you are parked and the other car is moving its their fault 100% of the time.

Hell I heard a judge say that people driving have a duty to watch out for those backing out of parking spots.

She will have to claim the damage on her insurance and probably wants to have a police report. She has no claim to your insurance company. You will be fine. Call them and tell them the story and make sure they don't pay if she tries to make a claim against yours.

No big deal. Itay be a little bit of hassle but you don't have anything to worry about.

I was in a rental in Denver. I was checking email at a convenience store. Really nice Mercedes convertible pulls up on the driver side and bitch opens her door really hard into the door panel and I can hear scraping. frick. As she slams her door shut and starts walking away she notices me in the car.

"Sorry."

With no hesitation I open and slam my door into the Mercedes as hard as can.

"Sorry.

She was like, "What the frick?!"

I slammed it again.

"Sorry, again!"

Then I left.

To the OP - It might have been your gf fault if she opened her door right in front of the oncoming vehicle. It's amazing how many people don't check to see if a car or bike is coming up behind them. But if the door had been opened a good while then that's different.

That said, I doubt it'll matter much since she can't prove anything unless she had a dash cam.
