The 2 right lanes are now blocked on I-10 East on the Mississippi River Bridge due to a stalled vehicle. Congestion has reached LA 415 (Lobdell).

All lanes are open on I-10 West on the Mississippi River Bridge. Congestion is approaching Siegen on I-10 West, has reached Airline Hwy on I-12 West and Government St on I-110 South. Use caution.

but that bridge to New Roads though- smooth sailing

All 4 vehicles are flowing nicely.

I drove across it when I went home for thanksgiving. It is a glorious bridge, but I was the only car in either direction.

What a damn waste of money that was. It had to be a political favor because that shouldn't have even made the top 1000 projects this area needs.

It would make a great bridge for a northern bypass or loop, but mankind will walk on Pluto before BR gets a loop/bypass.

I love that bridge. Anytime I feel like using it I'm the only one on it. Its like a members only option just for us West Side folks.

I get it that people that live there like it. We need one south of BR so that I-10 traffic can bypass the city. It would have 1000x more traffic.

But that makes too damn much sense for the Louisiana politicians to allow it to be built.

well then your leaders shouldn't have been bickering about where to put it. Its only up there cause everybody was dithering about when they should have been constructing the thing.

It really is a beautiful bridge though. Ever drive on it during a sunny day? Its quite lovely.
