Haverty's on Bluebonnet by the Mall of Lousiana has a very nice recliner that is "battery powered."
Quality leather, slim and sleek and the wife (if you're married) won't mind the style.

2-3 K for a chair to plant your arse in will probably cause you to spend more time on your arse, so that better be a wide bottom chair so you can grow into it.
