bet the pass line and fire at the 6 and 8. collect
I do this, or bet the Come the next two rolls to cover the table
Always bet max odds when the point is on the 4 or 10. It pays 2:1.

Same thing for the guy who drunkenly cheers when shooters crap out. If you go on a run betting don't pass and celebrate, people want to fight.
Most definitely. I've "played the dark side" a few times. I learned quickly to be quiet if I was hitting and to hide my chips if I was doing well.

I used to try to look for tables that didn't have many people and wasn't very noisy. Those tables weren't "hot" and those are the best chances to win playing against the shooter.

I have played the "don't" for years. I have had only one negative comment in those years from other players. I told him to bet how he wanted and do not worry about me. I usually start with a set amount of chips I put on the rail. Every time I win a bet, I put the original bet chips back on the rail and simply put the winnings in my pocket. I play the cycle until I have no chips on the rail. I walk away from that session and count the chips in my pocket. I usually come out with my original stake and a good profit. I always lay the odds on 4 & 10. I also usually play 3 don't numbers. That works for me. Good luck.

My standard bet is pass line with 2xs odds and a place bet on 6 and 8. I will also play don't pass. Never had someone tell me anything about it but I also don't cheer when I win. I just pick up my chips.
I will place the nine and buy the 10 sometimes. If you start playing craps, you will never want to play any other game in the casino. I've played many of the games and nothing is near as fun as craps.

I feel the same way. I love the game. I never celebrate I just put the chips in my pocket. If a shooter gets on a hot roll, I stop betting and wait until he Sevens out. I cheer him on and enjoy a drink. Congratulate him on a good roll and get back in the game.

The other bets are more risky, but pay out more, but I don't have a clue as what anything else means beyond betting the pass line. Let me start with the section that has Seven and 4-1 on each side.
It has 9-1 the dice showing a pair of threes Hard Way then dice showing a pair of fours. Then 7-1 pair of 2s Hard Way then a pair of fives, 30-1 snake eyes One pair of sixes, then 15-1 dice showing one and three Bet then dice showing six and 5 and at the bottom it says Any Craps 7-1.
9-1 for 6 or 8 the hard way means that if you bet money on there, and a 6 or 8 "the hard way" is rolled (meaning two 6's or two 8's) you will win 9 times what you bet. Your bet will stay on there until you roll a 6 or 8 (whichever you bet) that is not "the hard way" or if someone rolls a 7. 7-1 for four or ten the hard way is the same principal, but there are less possibilities for you to roll a 4 or 10 that is not "the hard way", than there are for a 6 or 8, so the payout is less.
30-1 bet is a one time bet where you put money on either snakeyes (two ones) or boxcars (two sixes) and win 30x what you bet, but it your bet is removed regardless of the outcome of the roll, unlike the above.

Just bet the pass line and place bets on numbers that keep hitting regularly. Wait for a hot hand

That sounds like a sucker bet.

The house has about a 9%-12% edge on most of the bets in the middle of the table.

Well, pretty much putting any money on a craps table is a sucker bet.
But let’s say you put $20 on 6 the hard way. There are 4 ways to roll a 6 the easy way and 6 ways to roll a 7, so you have a 10/36 chance of losing your bet on each roll. You also have a 1/36 chance of winning $180( by hitting two 3’s) on each roll. And a 25/36 chance of nothing happening and your money staying for another roll.
So yeah I don’t know the value of that bet but it’s probably less than $20

I no longer fight a hot shooter. The "Gambler's Falacy." Three passes and I enjoy that drink or follow the money. It it however dissappointing to have a single shooter beat you both ways but it happens. Often you can play the ABS or Iron Cross and recover. (Play two or three units on the 5,6,and 8 with a single unit on the field). Typically that only works when the shooter has several on-puck rolls or naturals between passes.

I play the pass line and then ill play two bets off the come line at max odds. Im usually on 3-4-5 tables. If im making money ill start letting 3 numbers ride but I generally stick to two.
Got that strategy from a book i got off amazon a few years back and i have done well

I was being sarcastic about the “two 8s” thing.
Would be pretty difficult to roll two 8s.

Same here. Cost me three bets and I watch.

I play pretty conservatively with just the pass line and back up my odds. I do love hard 6 though. It’s dumb, but I often throw a $25 hard 6 out whenever I get a feeling.
For whatever reason I’ve had a pretty good track record of hitting it.

Want 2 pass lines?
Bet the come bet on 1st roll after button is on.
It's nice if you get a hot roller, I've had all but 1 number backed before.
Come bet is a hidden gem most ignore
