Anybody had these installed? Are they as amazing as they claim and what kind of cost would I be looking at?

You'll still have to clean out your gutters.

I have them.
They do a good job. I don't have any problems with my gutters.
They don't seal as well along the seams as they say, since the seams don't always line up perfectly. However, that has not allowed any intrusion by leaves, debris, or insects.
They are expensive, since they have a limited number of contractors. For my house in Montgomery, they had a contractor from Atlanta do them. Mine cost $2700 for only the back of the house, since I don't have gutters on the front of the house.
I am satisfied so far. They are supposed to be guaranteed for a long time, and if they are damaged by a roofer, they will go after him. I just got a new roof, and we'll see if the installation made a big deal. I'm pretty sure the roofer did any major damage that wasn't there already.
Hope that helps.

There's a company in New Orleans called Audubon Gutters that has a "leaf guard" gutter.. It's a crown that's a one piece molded gutter..
Pretty expensive, but worth it... Works very well...

Not in my experience. Put them on in 2005. When we repainted this spring we took them down and they were clean and we had not cleaned them one time and we do have a couple of trees near the house. Just my experience with them.
I suspect they vary by quality and installation. The gutter guy who reinstalled them told me that mine had two type of screens, a course one then over that one a finer screen and he wished they still made them that way. I do not remember the brand though.

I feel like those would work pretty well. I have some on my house that are the screen type, it works for the majority of leaves and debris

If it rains hard, the water just flies off that guard and doesn't enter the gutter.
I got some aluminum wire mesh type gutter guard. Goes under the lip of the shingle and sort of snaps into the gutter. Outside of having to clean the corners out where leaves will accumulate from time to time and there is no remedy for, i have had zero issues.
Pretty sure i spent about $200 at best to cover my gutters with this. They cost $1/ft. They were a pain in the arse to cut where you had 90's, but installing outside of that along the strait parts was simple. I have a shite load of crete myrtles that dump shite onto my roof year long, as well as crappy arse river birch trees that constantly dump leaves and sticks, and these have done the job admirably. I haven't had to remove them to unclog the gutters in the 2 years they've been up.

Depending in house size 1-2 grand. I just had gutters installed on my house and the guards added something like $1,300 to the quote

I'm installing these in about a month...
Gutter Guard
Or these...
Gutter Guard
I just need to make up my mind on which one I prefer. Those post oaks are going to bombing my house soon.

When I bought my house it had screen guards on the gutters. They were probably 5-10 years old then. I had to pop them off because they don't do anything about the small seed pods (catkins?) that some trees produce, or the leaves that were apparently left on the roof or caught in the screens (this happens a good bit) so long they basically turned to compost and ran through them. I had to scoop a surprising amount of mud and gunk out of the gutters to get them to flow well. Maybe it was just that type of screen, but they didn't pop on very well in some places, and they bend easily if you're not careful with them. They're not bad if you clear the leaves off the guards every now and then. But you can't just leave them there, or they rot and run through the screens and you end up scooping out mud. So like a previous poster said, you still have to maintain your gutters even if you have the screens.
