I'm on year 16 with a craftsman.

I considered electric and I have a small yard. Too expensive. When my Snapper craps out, I'll get whatever is cheapest with a Briggs and Stratton engine.

When I had a small yard, I bought the cheapest push mowers I could find, brand didn't matter, Walmart once had them for $95.00. I never changed the oil, never changed the blade, never did any kind maintenance. They would usually last least 3 years or more before they started to give trouble, would then push them to the curb and get another one.

I just picked up one that looks like that but with RWD self-propelled. My yard was pretty over grown and that little mower did a great job. I think the Honda mowers punch above their weight for the power they have.

DR TRIMMER, on my second one, will cut anything, as fast as you can walk it will cut, best I have ever had

Any brand with the Honda engine will be fine if you take care of it. Honda is OHC versus Briggs OHV. OHC is more efficient.
Only issue you will have with AWD Husqvarna is grass build up around the transmission parts and it is heavier.

I put some self propelled mowers through some abuse more than anybody I can imagine using them for trail building. The 21in mulching Honda brand mower with engine is excellent for your typical st Augustine yard. mine is about 16 years old and only had one tune up and blade sharpening about every 3 years. However, it doesn't hold up well to to the wear and tear of heavy brush.
The husqvarna 800 AWD w/ Honda is heavier but a beast. I can get a season or two out them and they can plow through some heavy brush. That AWD doesn't last too long with what I do to them. But can still manage some back self propelled action. The weight is an issue after a few hours of maneuvering.
But believe or not, for price, weight, ease and cold morning starts, I actually like the 22in Toro with the Briggs & Stratton front wheel drive. It's easy to maneuver, runs great, and I can abuse the hell out it and it still performs well. Being a little lighter it's easier to handle and has kept up with that Husqvarna so far.
But like I mentioned, I abuse the hell out of them and not use them in a typical situation.

I have the self propelled toro with Kohler engine from home depot. No complaints

My dad got a Honda when I was a teenager. I cut 5 or so yards for three summers. That damn mower lasted him 15 years

I bought a Cub Cadet at Tractor Supply and it is very satisfactory so far. Plus it has a four year warranty and they handle the repair work themselves.
