Oh red .. I’m so sorry. As a parent I can’t imagine. Not the right thread I know but how old was your son? I’ll add your family to my prayers tonight.

It's good. I just got in touch with his neighbor and she sent me some pics of their place. Their shop is gone and roof damage with water inside from the leaking roof. They're planning to go back tomorrow.

Does anyone know where to donate supplies in lc?

Or places in Houston taking supplies to bring down there? Not Red Cross or Lakewood church please.
Thanks!

Not Red Cross

Last place you ever want to give your money to. During Harvey we went out with a group of us with donated food and cooked and gave to first responders and anyone that needed a hot meal. The first site at the Lake Charles Civic center we went to, Red Cross ran us off and were assholes about it. Come to find out they get 14 bucks a plate... the don't want you to help. They are a complete fraud of an organization.

I volunteered at George r brown during Harvey. They were the biggest mess ever and they let all the food go to waste instead of giving it out.

I-10 bridge in Lake Charles seemed safe for transport after inspection.

LINK

Inspectors, last seen shoving $100 bills in their pockets, noted “Honestly, it doesn’t matter if you hit this thing with a barge full of slot machines and welfare checks or not, it’s a miracle this thing is standing. And I, for one, am not going to stand in the way of a miracle”

Home in LCH near McNeese. 3 tarps on roof and still have exposed wood. Can push tip of shop vac through 50% of Sheetrock, walls and ceilings, gonna have to be gutted. Been too busy to explore but this side of town is absolutely destroyed.

Traffic and pouring rain from Lafayette to LCH, i10 clear to 210. Anyone coming westbound, gas/ice up before Atchafalaya. Stine in LCH open. 7p curfew.

Heard over fire station PA that 3 LCH water plants were completely destroyed. Hospitals evacuated, ERs open.

If anyone needs eyes on their homes, let me know and Ill try my best to get to them tomorrow.
