My parents west of Alexandria got hit really hard. They have at least 15 trees down, with 2 being across their driveway and 1 on their pool house.
No damage to the house I hope. We ended up with some down limbs, but nothign major. The trampoline is even still here. No idea how though.

Not sure about Cameron, but talked to my mom and the people that stayed in Hackberry ended up at the new community center. People making rounds and the wind damage is worse than Rita...they have no roof on their house, lots of down trees etc.
Interesting how that works. Worst winds yet half the surge in some places. Makes sense with Laura’s RI into landfall rather than days of long fetches over open water.

Sorry if I missed it, but anyone in New Iberia area?
Looked rough on radar through the night.

Well if it's on fire, couldn't there be a pretty good chance it could start leaking?
Ok I was wrong, it is leaking now. Major chlorine leak and they are evacuating Westlake/ shelter in place according to some at p66 and sasol.

My Dad cleared all the trees around the house after Rita (or at least the ones that Rita didn't get), so the house is fine.
They just live in the middle of the woods, so they have lots of trees. It honestly looks like the aftermath of a tornado from their front door.

Hurricanes might not have momentum (well they do have angular, but you get the point) but the water does.
Extremely glad it didn't bring the water feared.
