is that the eye? its certainly not as bad as 20 minutes ago but it aint5 calm either
It's not the center of the eye or anything, but he's not sitting in the eyewall either.

Had a few minutes of calm in Milton/Youngsville and then some serious wind came thru.. rain doesn't seem to be as heavy but these gusts are something else

Tornado Alley went live for a minute or two - has his headlights on the Chase building and it looks like every window has been blown out all the way up.

Possible good news or at least better than expected news on the surge - at least in Cameron.
The Calcasieu Pass water level reached 11.07 feet, but that was only the fourth highest in history.
Rita 15.0
Audrey 13.3
Ike 11.8
Laura (preliminary) 11.07
Has it created though?
The wind is now out of the west or WSW so the water is not being pushed up any higher for now just holding steady or dropping slightly. farther to the east of cameron is probably worse because the winds are from the south. Cameron and LC may have dodged much more surge because they were hit head on and not to the west.

interesting... ive never been in an eyewall, and thought it was totally calm.
