I wonder if the Hard Rock developers covered this for her

But councilmembers didn't buy these excuses and had threatened to dock her pay in the 2023 budget to recover the funds.
'I'm glad that we can put this behind us,' Council President Helena Moreno said.
The under-fire mayor was already in hot water after admitting to living in a city-owned apartment in the city's French Quarter rent-free, that lies only three miles from her $500K Broadmoor home.

Does she still owe back taxes or was that covered as well?

Wow. I figured she might pay over time and it would take a long while to get started. I'm shocked.
Now, it's time to get her out of the apartment and possibly get reimbursed some money for that.

Good point. Looks like she may have taken out a loan.

Only in that shite hole could a dump like that cost $500,000.

If it was a shite hole why would a dump like that cost $500k? Wouldnt it cost less?

Am I reading the check correctly that it's a loan disbursement? The city was exploring deducting it from her pay. Why didn't she do that with, I assume, 0% interest rather than taking a loan out?
Better yet, with that salary, she doesn't have $30k saved up?
ETA: tgrbaitn08 pointed out the loan is probably from her campaign account which I forgot you can do. That makes sense.

Not a surprise that she banks with Liberty Bank. Black owned.

Imagine spending over 20% of your take home pay on flight upgrades, what an idiot.

And she could've used that 30k to fix her roof
