But even with that, I still have the ability to see this war has little to no impact on us here in the US.
I am not sure I agree with this but don't have the time to explore this thinking.. However I am willing to admit you could very well be correct.
For me I think our world has gotten much smaller and continues to get smaller so the outcome of conflicts like this can have consequences that are difficult to foresee 3 or more years down the road.. regardless of who "wins".. ETA and I think recent history has validated my perspective..

If that’s true, then the Russians are attacking on a 25 km long front and have created a salient roughly 7sq km in size. I’m still not ready to identify this as a large scale offensive though. But things seem to be getting interesting.
I still don’t think the Russians are going to put all their eggs into this single basket. I look for them to launch similar attacks on other sectors in the next few days. If they do that, then we know the Russian summer offensive has begun.

China has sharply reduced shipments of Mavic drones and related components to Ukraine and Western nations, while expanding exports to Russia, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a media briefing, as reported by Bloomberg on May 29.
“Chinese Mavic is open for Russians but is closed for Ukrainians,” Zelenskyy stated.
He added that Chinese representatives are present on drone production lines inside Russian territory.

This tells you how Delusional Zelensky is. He thinks China should still be shipping Drones to Ukraine. This would be the equivalent of Putin complaining that America is not supplying him with weapons like Ukraine

I am one of those guys who believed Russia is our enemy and a threat to our national interests.
We all know about their nuclear capabilities. We doubt they will use them, but as we have seen they will leverage those capabilities to their advantage and to increase the size of their empire.
Russia has sided with our enemies in Korea, Vietnam, and the Middle East. Russians have killed Americans. Russia is the reason there is NATO.
If Russia wasn’t so imperialistic, we could have saved trillions of dollars over time, Our taxes could have been lower, or the money put to domestic use.
So why help Ukraine? Why not let Russia steam roll over the Ukes? We could have chosen to do that in 2014 when they tested us.
Our reaction was lukewarm, and Obama helped Ukraine some and Trump helped Ukraine a little more. I believe the mistake was not to take Ukraine into NATO, but by giving Ukraine aid in low amounts it kept us involved but it didn’t deter Putin.
The good news is that Ukraine’s has stymied Russia to a large degree. They have weakened Russia and they have shown the Europeans how they can’t be trusted. Now whether Ukraine falls completely falls if not Europe has been alerted to the military and economic dangers that Russia presents.

5 downvotes on this post almost immediately.
Where are the counter points if its not accurate?
And if it is accurate, why are you downvoting the user and not judging the content?
People who think that way are more prone to ideological capture. And those prone to ideological capture are the same ones who almost always have LGBT, Ukraine, and Palestine flags in their bios (and a striking absence of American flags).

Which one? It should be way more than that. Maybe I missed that.

Did you also miss a yes or no question that you still won't answer after something like 3 months?

Asked ChatGPT to summarize this comment using snark
"I’m not convinced, but I’m too busy to figure out why. You might be right though. Also, everything’s complicated and unpredictable, which conveniently means I’m still kind of right, too."

Not even taking one side or the other, I'd just like to see someone refute even a couple of these posts on Russian progress since some of you clearly disagree. I sincerely want to see the other sources saying otherwise, if they exist.

The Ukrainian drones were manufactured in Ukraine....the drones Russia launched were made in Iran.
